Mars Con

Friday

I went to my English class and got instructions for a paper i had to writer. Not much happens in that class, and it goes by really fast, which is fine with me. When i got home i watched some t.v. and waited for Alex to call. Alex called and asked me to come over and hang out until the Con started. While i was waiting for him, my live action Pretty Soilder Sailor Moon DVD set came in. My Dad shook it in my face and asked me what it was. Once i realized what it was it nearly tackled him to snatch it out of his hand. I watched the bouns features on it up in my room until Alex showed up. We went to his house and watched it until it was time to go. I kept freaking out everytime Sailor moon transformed. Its really sad but it was very true.

We all got ready to go to the con, and we looked up where it was. I kept saying it was on richmond Rd. Alex's dad told him it was on a different rd. So we trusted him and ended up at the wrong hotel. Then we got horribly lost. I then suggested we go back onto Richmond Rd. in the end we found it. We get there and we go and look in the dealers room. I ended up getting money, a free book, and an asorment of other things, just for being a girl that didn't a)Have long medeval "lord of the rings" type hair, b) Being 200 pounds or over or c) being a lesbian. We did an asorment of other things like watch LUNA-C, a scifi improv group, and playing scifi win lose or draw. I happened to be on a team where everyone was a guy except for me and Jen. When it was my turn i chose to do a one point question. When you do a question thats 3 points or more, and you get everyone to guess you get a prize. Everyone ended up guessing mine. I went to go sit down and the team leader told me i forgot something. I looked back to see what i forgot and he was pointing at the prize table. I said "I don't get one, i did a one point clue." Then he made a big deal about how i should get one anyway. Then everyone on my team voted for me to get a prize. It was really akward. Alex just kept looking at me in amazement. Apparently i was the queen of the scifi Geeks.

SATURDAY

Alex, Jenny and I got up and got dressed for the Con. We dressed up for the hall costume contest. I went as Bat Girl, Alex Went as the riddler, and Jen went as posion Ivy. The second we get there a woman yells at Alex " Hey Baby, come and give me a riddle!" When we got into the Con a dude yelled "Now thats a costume Batgirl should wear!" and Jenny pretty much got gawked at because she was in a leotard. Some woman told he that he husband has bee looking at her all night. I love how one leotard can ruin a marrige. We all decided to go to a waltz class in full costume. It was funny because our instructor was dressed as a vampire. When we started the class everyone started taking pictures of us. It was hilarious! We walked around and did variuous activities. We then finally got to watch the Improv group again. They were using alot of sound effects in the skits. The fire alram ended up going off, and we see smoke. Eveyone thought it was part of the skit and totally ignored it. So basically we could have died. We all exit the buliding. Just picture it a bunch of scifi geeks in full costume outside a holiday Inn. The fire department showed up, and i took a picture in front of the fire truck and with a bunch of firemen. I was still in my bat girl costume. I can't wait to get the pictures. After that was the ASPA auction. Alex and i ended up walking away with alot of crap. But it was for the Puppies and the kitties. We went to Rocky Horror at the end of the night. They were walking around looking for some people to play the bride and the groom at the beging of the movie. My hand shot up and they chose me and Alex to play in the cast. I got to be in a huge horrible wedding dress and alex was in a jacket. They Best part was that my Little precious was playing brad and i got to stand onstage with him. IT WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL NIGHT! I had so much fun.
